In order to be officially accepted into the speech language pathology major at the end of the sophomore year, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum prerequisite SLP GPA of 3.25 in the following courses:

Advanced Writing Proficiency

The Advanced Writing Proficiency is fulfilled through successful completion of the clinical portfolio consisting of writing assignments that demonstrate the ability to write in categories essential to the professions in communicative science and disorders.

Senior Comprehensive

Successful completion of SLP 485 SLP Clinical Practicum Satisfies the Senior Comprehensive requirement.
