Note: Students may need other courses for specific programs of interest. It is up to the student to identify programs and make their advisor aware of extra courses needed as early as possible.
In addition to these prerequisites, the rest of semester schedule should be filled with major requirements/general education requirements to 15-18 credit hours to keep pace for 4 year graduation. Two courses in ENLT or ENWR at 100, 200, 300, or 400 are required and can be taken in any semester that fits. Students applying to occupational therapy programs can apply to masters programs or doctorate programs. If the student is planning on applying to doctorate programs, it is highly suggested that the student take BIO155 (2), BIO156 (2), BIO157 (2), BIO158 (2), CHEM121 (4), and Pscy201, Psyc201L and Psyc302, rather than the other options listed for these courses. A total of 40 hours of professional exploration in two occupational therapy practice settings addressing the needs to two distinct populations is strongly suggested. NOTE: Students may need other courses for specific programs of interest. It is up to the student to identify programs and make their advisor aware of extra courses needed as early as possible.
